Who are we?

Fusion Computing is a managed service provider servicing the Greater Toronto area since 2008 – but what does that mean? Let’s throw out all the acronyms, titles, wordy industry terms, and get down to brass tacks.

Question: What does Fusion Computing do, and why do I need them?

Answer: Technology.

Question: What do you mean by ‘Technology’?

Answer: Like virtually every organization in the world, your company uses technology to keep business operations running in some capacity. We aim to understand the technology, trends, the future of technology and how it best applies to business uses so you don’t have to. You have your specialty, we have ours, and we’re really good at it.

Question: What does ‘really good at it’ mean?

Answer: Over the past 2 decades, we’ve gained experience working with over 150 different companies, across many industries, and have firsthand experience with how those businesses use technology and how it can be improved upon. Our focus is not to simply be a helpdesk, it’s to understand your business, and navigate the how, and why of technology decisions. We truly are your IT team.

Question: How do I know you’re not selling me something I don’t need?

Answer: Trust.

It’s a big leap to take, but we’ll keep you in the loop every step of the way, so you know you’re in good hands. Here are the facts:

  1. You don’t know what you don’t know; in other words, you might know you need something, but you don’t know what exactly, and the options can be overwhelming and constantly changing.
  2. Think of the hardware world (Computers, Servers, Switches, printers etc) like cars. Most cars have 4 wheels, they travel the highway, they have a top speed, they have a stopping distance, they have safety features, and the components used to build the cars have quality ratings. So while you could get from A to B in a horse-drawn wagon, a Ferrari would be much more efficient, but possibly overkill, especially when Finance sees the ticket price.
  3. In terms of software decision, you have business line software, accounting software, security software, server software, anti-virus software and the list goes on. Fusion helps you navigate the software world, and decide what software can help your business, now and in the future.

Question: What makes you any different than the next “IT Expert”?

Answer: Trust, passion, and experience; the foundation of all great relationships! Many people think of “IT Expert” as an umbrella title for ‘the person I call when I have technology needs’. We’ve got those asks covered, but that’s not what we aim for though, truthfully, that’s how a lot of relationships begin. While we’re building or maintaining trust, we correct and move forward any technology needs, helping you shape a leaner, more efficient version of the organization you are today. Then we maintain the technology, the support, the strategic direction, the new use of technology, and the security. Period.
